Justice Gian Chand Jain, B.A., LL.B.- Born on 16th October, 1927. Joined Punjab Civil Service (Judicial) on 19th October, 1953. Appointed Subordinate Judge in May, 1955; Rent Controller Delhi in 1955; posted at Jullundur as Subordinate Judge Ist Class in May, 1960. Worked as Subordinate Judge ist Class, Bhiwani from December, 1962 to May, 1963. posted in Delhi in May, 1965 and worked as Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal; Judge Small Causes Court; Senior Subordinate Judge; Assistant Sessions Judge presiding officer Labour Court; Additional District and Sessions Judge; Rent Controller Tribunal; Presiding officer Industrial Tribunal; Secretary, Law & Judicial and Chief Electoral officer, Delhi Administration. He worked as a District and Sessions Judge, Delhi from 19-10- 1979 till he was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court on 6-1-1981. Appointed Permanent Judge on 19-11-1983. Retired on 16-10-1989.
