Justice Ramesh Chand Jain
Born and educated at Saharanpur(U.P.), obtained degree in Bachelor of Laws in 1st division from Agra University and diplomas in Labour Laws, Parliamentary Practice and Procedure etc. Successfully completed the course for Senior Government Legal Advisors at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London. Participated in several National and International Conferences/Seminars. Practised law in the District Courts for about three years before joining U.P. Judicial Service in 1970. Joined Delhi Judicial Service in 1971. Promoted to Higher Judicial Service in 1980 and worked as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Special Judge, Rent Control Appeal Tribunal, Secretary(Law & Judicial) and Metropolitan Council, Delhi, Registrar General, National Human Rights Commission and District and Sessions Judge, Delhi. Elevated to the Bench of Delhi High Court on July 16,2001 and a permanent Judge on May 2, 2003. Retired on June 27, 2006.
