How reliable are the decisions on the site?
The decisions are uploaded on the site for quick availability to the advocates and litigants. However, only a certified copy will grant authenticity to these decisions.
Are Court proceedings televised or webcast and if yes, how can I obtain a copy of a hearing transcript and/or video?
No. Court proceedings are neither televised or webcast, nor recorded.
Are hearings open to the public?
Yes.
What are the Court’s opening hours?
The offices of the Court remain open daily from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. However, the Courts hold sittings on all working days from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm.
During our visit to the Court, would it be possible to take pictures of various parts of the Court building?
No. Cameras and video recorders are strictly prohibited inside the court building.
Can we visit the Court Building?
Yes, there is a separate entry for general public and litigants. A pass is required for this purpose which is available at the entry itself.

What are the court fees to be paid in different matters before the High Court of Delhi?
The Court fees are paid in different matters on the Original Sides of this Court which is calculated on the basis of the provisions of Court-fees Act, 1870 (Act No.7 of 1870).
If I need a lawyer to prepare and file documents in the High Court of Delhi, what should I do?
In case of any legal assistance by way of legal aid, you may contact the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee or the Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA).
Do I have to appear in Court every time my case is listed?
The litigant, if represented by counsel (Advocate), need not appear every time his case is listed before this Court. However, the concerned advocate must appear every time. In case the Court, by order, requires before it the personal appearance of any party, then it has to be complied with.
